Effectively Communicate

This is the ability to convey a message thoroughly through the use of clear, direct and easy to understand language/medium. Remember that this can be verbal or non verbal. The effective communicator is receptive and responsive to the input of the other person or audience.

All essential aspects of speaking apply here: be polite, friendly, concise, observant, appreciative. It is important to note the two way street that this is. Active listening is an essential component of  effectively communicating.

It is also important to realize that any communicating style has to be very adaptive. Like Anthony Robins said: “To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.”

Remember that good communication is also a lot about your actions. We are constantly communicating with others through how we act. Ralph Waldo Emerson words have been paraphrased over time in multiple ways: “What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.”
