Courageous

This is the ability to do something that scares or frightens you. It is the desire or willingness to face a difficult situation, even with an uncertain outcome. Some people will describe someone who has courage as having “heart”, which makes sense when you think of the meaning of the greek word “cor” which indeed means heart.

Courage is mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty. When we think of courage, our favorite superhero sure comes to our minds. And I am sure you have others in real life that have exemplified this quality to you.

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” – Nelson Mandela
